Fantascience Digest was a science fiction fanzine edited by Robert Madle and published by Comet Publications in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

The Art Director was Jack Agnew and Associate Editors were John V. Baltadonis (Fantasy Fiction Pictorial, Science-Fiction Collector) and Willis Conover Jr. (Science-Fantasy Correspondent)

Issue 1 was released in Dec. 1937 and includes contributions by the editors and J. Harvey Haggard, J. Francis Hatch, Raymond Van Houten (Tesseract), Henry Kuttner, Robert Lowndes, and Milton A. Rothman (Fantasy Fiction Telegram). Cover art was by Jack Agnew and John Guinta (Amazing Wonder Tales).

No. 2 appeared in Feb. 1938 and featured the editors with David H. Keller, John Chapman Miske (Scienti-Snaps), Milton A. Rothman, James V. Taurasi (Cosmic Tales) with Oswald Train (Fantasy Fiction Telegram), and Donald Wollheim (The Phantagraph, The International Observer of Science and Science Fiction).

No. 3, from March-April 1938 featured the editors with Sam Moskowitz (Helios), Jack Speer, William Sykora, and cover art by John Giunta.

No. 4 arrived in May-June 1938 with contributions by the editors with Jack Cadrell, Helen Cloukey, Edward Dale, Nils Helmer Frome (Supramundane Stories), George R. Hahn, Dale Hart (later editor of Ichor and Shangri L'Affaires), Henry Kuttner, Jack Speer, Percy T. Wilkinson, and the editors. Illustrations were by Agnew, Jack Cadrell, and Milton Rothman, and the cover was by Jack Agnew.

No. 5, of July-August 1938, featured the editors with Helen Cloukey, John Chapman Miske (Scienti-Snaps, Bizarre), Mark Reinsberg (Ad Astra), Jack Speer, Percy T. Wilkinson, and Richard Wilson, Jr. (Escape), Jack Agnew, and Milton Rothman contributed the cover art.

For No. 6 of Sept.-Oct. 1938 the editors were joined by John W. Campbell, Helen Cloukey, Literio B. Farsaci (The Golden Atom), Dale Hart, Mark Reinsberg, and E.E. Doc Smith; cover art by Jack Agnew with Milton Rothman.

Vol 2 No. 1, Nov.-Dec. 1938 featured cover art by John Giunta, with illustrations by Milton Rothman, and writing by Robert Bahr (pseudonym of Sam Moskowitz), Duclar Champagne, Helen Cloukey, Edward Dale, Henry Kuttner, Sam Moskowitz (New Fandom), Mark Reinsberg, Jack Speer, Harry Warner, Jr. (Spaceways), and Thomas Whiteside.

Vol. 2 No. 2 of Jan.-Feb. of 1939 featured the editors with Helen Cloukey, Paul Dennis, George R. Hahn (as «Cyril Mand»), Sam Moskowitz, Frederik Pohl (The International Observer of Science and Science Fiction, Arcturus), Mark Reinsberg, Milton Rothman, Robert G. Thompson, Oswald Train, and Harry Warner, Jr. and a cover by Jack Agnew.

Vol. 2 No. 3, Mar.-Apr. 1939 featured Fred W. Fischer (The Southern Star), Henry Kuttner, Sam Moskowitz (Helios), Mark Reinsberg, J. Michael Rosenblum (later editor of Futurian War Digest), Jack Speer (as «John Bristol»), Oswald Train, Harry Warner, Jr. and a cover by John Guinta.

Vol. 2 No. 4 of May-June 1939 had a cover by John Guinta, with Joseph Mitchel Boyer, Ralph Milne Farley, Fred W. Fischer, M. Rebeque, Mark Reinsberg, Milton Rothman, and Harry Warner, Jr.

Vol. 2 No. 5 of July-Aug.-Sept. 1939 featured a cover by Jack Agnew and included Ray Bradbury (Futuria Fantasia), John F. Burke, Helen Cloukey, Fred W. Fischer, Sam Moskowitz, Mark Reinsberg, Harry Warner, Jr., and Donald Wollheim.

Vol. 3, No. 1 (#12) appearing in Jan.-Feb. 1940 with a cover by John Baltadonis, and E.E. Campbell, Jr., Ralph Milne Farley, Fred W. Fischer, Charles Hornig (The Fantasy Fan), Frederic Arnold Kummer, Sam Moskowitz, Mark Reinsberg, Milton Rothman (as himself and as «Lee Gregor»), A.M. Phillips, Harry Warner, Jr., and R.R. Winterbotham.

Vol. 3 No. 2 (#13) arrived in Oct. 1940 with a cover by Bill Adams, and included Fred W. Fischer, Robert Lowdnes, A.M. Phillips, Bob Tucker (Le Zombie), Julius Unger, and Harry Warner, Jr.

Vol. 3, No. 3 (#14) appeared in Nov.-Dec. 1941 and featured a cover by John Baltadonis, with Stan Bachrach, E.E. Campbell, Jr., Fred W. Fischer, Robert Lowdnes, Wilfred Owen Morley, Langley Searles (Fantasy Commentator), Bob Tucker, and Harry Warner, Jr. This was the last issue.

Robert Madle had previously published Imaginative Fiction with Jack Agnew, John V. Baltadonis, and Harvey Greenblat and Fantasy Fiction Telegram with John V. Baltadonis, Milton A. Rothman and Oswald Train.
